About the Alliance
A nonprofit, state-based, all-volunteer organization for birdwatchers, founded at Petit Jean State Park.

Arkansas Bird Alliance was founded in 1955 at Petit Jean State Park. Its work is organized around conservation, education, fellowship, and diversity and inclusivity. The Alliance is not affiliated with the National Audubon Society.
An all-volunteer statewide organization.
Officers, board members, committee chairs, the Bird Records Committee, and program volunteers maintain the Alliance’s events, publications, records, advocacy, education, and member services.
Conservation is collaborative.
The Alliance works alongside public agencies, colleges and universities, conservation organizations, parks, wildlife refuges, native-plant advocates, and local birding communities across Arkansas.

Alliance awards honor exceptional service to Arkansas Bird Alliance, sustained work for species conservation, and people who help young Arkansans develop a strong conservation ethic.
